Our charity WIDA has a booth at the St Patricks day Fest on Las Olas, come and show your support. We raise funds for Women in Distress of Broward County, the only accredited shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence, give a donation, get a free baked good cookies etc.

Wow we had great weather, better yet a great day on the water Real Estate is starting to move again, Sales are up over last year in both condos 8% and single family homes 2.6%.

Ft Lauderdale, here are some fun things to do

The beaches are great, all beaches in Florida are public beaches. some great beaches are Pompano Beach with parking near the pier between Atlantic Blvd and 14th st causeway, Lauderdale by the Sea has parking off between A1A and Elmar Dr.

I recommend the Jungle Queen for an afternoon or evening sightseeing cruise. My club went on the night dinner cruise over the holidays, good comedy show and dinner, at Bahia Mar and A1a in Ft Lauderdale. A lower cost option is the Water taxi which you can pick up at various locations. A great way to explore the waterways

Best nightlife is on Las Olas and of course the Hard Rock in Hollywood

Broward County Home Sales Up 33%

Wow, things are moving, with home prices declining and low interest rates the market is way up!
The Florida Association of Realtors says we see a definite turnaround. Sales are up 33% and the average for a single family in South Florida is now 191K a 36% drop from last year.

Troubling is the amount of those eligible for the 8k tax credit are still on the sidelines. To get the credit, a homeowner must close on the deal by December 1st 2009. Given that from looking for a home to close can take as long as 6 months they need to be in the market now.
